Episode 101: Interview with Nieves, Owner of Sexy Batch Baking Co.

At the time of this recording, I was 4 months postpartum. It was one of my first outings away from my baby girl and my first interview for the show. I met with Nieves, owner of Sexy Batch Baking Company. We sat down at Chateau Le Woof, one of the many cafes that sell Sexy Batch cookies.

Before coming on the show I ask each guest to fill out a questionnaire where they share details of their life. I was immediately drawn to Nieves’ authentic and thoughtful responses. In this episode, we discuss what a science officer has to do with baking cookies and we get personal about the loneliness and struggles of starting your own business. Nieves gives me some unsolicited parenting advice that I found quite inspiring and I think you will too.
